Nigel Hemingway

I have been a member of the Bridge Lake Photo Group for several years and have learned a lot from this fun talented group of photographers and the people I shoot with. They have all helped make learning photography a fascinating hobby for me.

In the last year I have concentrated on night photography using long exposure times while “painting” the scene with flashlight beams. Landscape photography has always been one of my favorite genres and I started last year doing some portrait shoots. This last one needs more practice, understanding and working with light within the picture, but it will come. I enjoy the time spent outside taking the pictures immensely and now plan trips considering the photographic opportunities. Once taken, the processing of images is mostly fun and I work digitally in Photoshop CS6. Through my association with DP Photography I now have the pleasure of taking images from the field right through to the printing for display.
