The Featured Photo for January/February 2016 was by Daryl Bell as chosen by Derek Chambers.
This photograph looks like a painting, by one of those famous British artist’s that made a good living faithfully documenting the beloved animals owned by upper crust gentlemen (the only ones who could afford the artist’s healthy fee).
The composition is wonderfully arranged about a diagonal line running from upper left to lower right. This is not only emphasized by the lighting and shadow, but also by Hugo’s out stretched left leg.
Hugo expression is a mix of “now what?” and “are we done yet?”
Great photo, Daryl. Well done.
