Our cameras have been getting a good workout recently. Here’s a few of the additions we’ve made to the Bridge Lake Photo Group website.
First, we’ve changed the BLPG website header image by grabbing a crop from a beautiful photograph of a loon family taken by Diane Hopp at a recent Lac Le Jeune bird photography workshop. The newest addition to the loon family, a still fuzzy chick, is getting a free ride. The warm early morning light makes this photograph glow!
Second, we’ve added another Diane Hopp photograph, this one not nearly as warm and fuzzy as her header image. It’s of a spider in the heart of a fleabane flower, dining on an insect. Quite gruesome, perhaps even the stuff of nightmares. Have a look if you dare!
Third, Dennis McCoy recently hiked into Canim Lake Falls and has given us some striking long exposure shots which turn the falls into magical cascades. Even more impressive, however, is Dennis’s shot of a brave dipper, hunkered down in a rock cleft between the two falls.
Fourth, Sharon Jensen has joined the Photographers Showcase. Sharon’s page includes her earlier seasonal photographs but also some additions from a recent filed trip we made along the Eakin Creek Road. How many faces can you see in her Faces photograph?
Fifth, we’ve gathered into a single spot Larry Citra’s Eakin Creek Road photographs. Larry loves the Eakin Creek Road (as his photographs clearly demonstrate), and claims to have been along it “thousands” of times, in every season. We’ve included Larry’s most recent photographs, from our Eakin Creek Road field trip and a subsequent visit. In particular, be sure to look at Larry’s colourful stream shot. Beautiful.
And last, five new photographs have been added to the Derek Chambers page in the Photographers Showcase: three from the Eakin Creek Road field trip and subsequent trips; one, of a beaver, on Beartrap Lake; and a macro image of a Tiger Lily.
We do hope you get pleasure from our additions.
