The 5th annual Bridge Lake Photo Exhibition has come and gone.
Once again the exhibition area was packed with an enthusiastic crowd, approximately 175 people, slowly circulating around the room, studying the wide variety of images posted by Photo Group members. Each person seemed to find a handful of favourite photos, to which they kept returning to study them in greater detail.
The Slide and Video Show seating quickly filled up. Those who were previous Photo Exhibition attendees clearly knew the treat that in was store for them. And they weren’t disappointed, as presenters gave their idiosyncratic descriptions of what the audience was about to see, and, at the end of each presentation, the audience respond with enthusiastic applause.
Capping off the afternoon was a selection of treats and goodies to which Exhibition attendees flocked like ravenous birds, soon reducing the sumptuous spread to empty plates and a few crumbs. The loud buzz of conversation clearly indicated that all were having a good time.
The non-BLPG members of the audience drifted away by 4:15 PM and by 5:00 PM the pictures were removed, the display boards were dismantled and moved out, the tables put away, the basketball hoops lowered to their proper height, the space cleaned up and it was all over.
Until next year, and the 6th Annual Bridge Lake Photo Exhibition!
